Midnight in the Secret Garden of the Fairies started as a contest entry. I wasn't able to finish it by the due date and I continued working on it for a few more months. All in all there are about 800 hours of work in this piece. Inspirations came from many aspects of my life to create this whimsical tower, wall, and garden.
Follow along in the photos and the story of it's creation.
My first contest entry, and grand prize winner in the 2004 Hobby Builders Supply's Creatin Contest. For my first completed house this really caught me off guard when I got the prize winning phone call. This house is what got me starting Dragonscale Miniatures.

This is a dollhouse that came to me as a commission to refurbish for a three year old little girl. The turn around time was only a week, that got extended to two. It was crunch time during the whole remodel, started early and finished late each night(morning). But it was a pleasure to turn this into something a little girl could grow into as she got older, and the bright colors just lent itself to imagination and creativity.
