Vol.2
Feb 2010

Hi There, this is your February 2010 letter from Dragonscale Miniatures.
With lots of great things to say we'd appreciate it if you would take the time to read this.

Hello everyone, I apologise for not keeping in touch with all of you over the winter.
I guess it's easy to fall into the winter blues, but with hopes of spring just around the corner my activity with miniatures is perking up. So now my goals are to keep all of
you updated with what Dragonscale Miniatures is up to on a monthly basis.

What Has Dragonscale Miniatures Been Up To?

Well, we've started working on the website more, and trying to keep it a up to date a little more than previously. We've been busy at work making more miniatures and other items for the Dragonscale Miniatures Etsy store. Plans are in place to refurbish the online store with more photos of the items already available. More photos will be added back into our gallery, including photos of all of our new stuff.

As much as we like to keep everything handcrafted, it doesn't hurt to have items you would find at your local dollhouse store. We've been looking into stocking our shelves with many popular miniature items, and we would like feed back from you as to what you would be interested in for us to carry.

Ideas have been brewing on some new items to make that all of you will love. Some of the items we have been working on are sets that include some of our older items that have been around for a while. We're also working on a surprise that may make clay architechtual work less intimidating for all of you, yes you can do it, and it'll be really simple.

2010 is going to be a fresh new year with the new items and projects we'll be creating. How about contests to win some of our items?

When's the Next Show You'll Be At ?

Unfortunately we have a little bit of bad news.
We know many of you have found my table at the Handcrafters of Miniatures show, but this spring we'll be taking a break from it. We don't have enough new product ready to show you all by March.

For those that were hoping on seeing our table there, please feel free to email us and tell me so, the feedback will really help us out.

Depending on the interest we may put together another Spring Open House and Gallery. The location this year would be closer to the Boston area at my home in Canton. Like I said, if this is something that may interest you, please let me know your thoughts on this.

If I Build it Will You Come?

Also to those that are awaiting word on us opening a shop, I must say that our plans of doing so have been pushed back a bit by the way the economy is right now. Finding a reasonable space that is warm and inviting is one of our priorities, but to do so our sales need to go up.

If you would really like to see a new friendly miniature shop, studio (with classes), and gallery in the Boston area, everyone is welcomed to help us with this. This can be done in a few different ways.

We offer claywork classes in the comfort of your own home whether it be just for you, or a group of friends.

We also do custom dollhouse, roombox, and scene work including restoration or kit building, and landscaping. Intimidated by building the kit but you want to decorate it yourself? We can do it for you.

We're happy making custom miniature accessories for you, any ideas you have we would LOVE to bring it to life. Custom orders are Very Welcomed.

You can shop at any of our online venues including our webstore, Etsy, or the Ebay auctions we will be doing regularly.

You can also purchase a gift certificate for yourself or friends, these can be used towards any of our items or services.

You could even place an ad or logo to your own shop with us. It will apear on the left side of our home page, anyone stopping in at Dragonscale Miniatures.com won't miss it.

And as much as we hate to ask, but we all need a little help now and again to get things off of the ground. Your always welcomed to sending a donation via paypal. At the moment 100% of the profit we make goes towards starting a shop.

The shop and gallery will be for all of you to enjoy your hobby even more, and I promise to make it fun and interactive, with classes, and groups. Scrapbookers, knitters, and quilters have places like this to go to and share their hobbies, chitchat, and just socialize. It is time for us miniaturists in the Boston area to have the same thing available to us. But I really need your help to make this dream possible.
